MOPS

What is MOPS?
A place to find friendship, community, resources and support for you as a woman and a mother, whether you work or stay at home. MOPS is for all moms from pregnancy until your last child is out of Kindergarten. MOPS believes that no mom should be alone and a MOPS group can help build critical relationships and provide necessary support!

Last year our MOPS group was comprised of about 45 vibrant women. Even though MBC-L MOPS is a night group, only about half our moms were working moms and the other half were stay at home moms. All are welcome!

When and Where?
We will meet from 7:00 pm – 9:15 pm on Tuesday evenings. MOPS runs from September to May and will have seven meetings in the Fall and eight in the Spring.
  • Fall 2014 Schedule: September 9 & 23, October 7 & 21, November 4 & 18, & December 2.
  • Spring 2015 Schedule: January 20, February 3 & 17, March 3 & 17, April 7 & 21, & May 5.
MBC-L MOPS meets at McLean Bible Church – Loudoun Campus in the Prison Fellowship building, 44180 Riverside Pkwy, Leesburg, VA 20176.

What Does a MOPS Meeting Look Like?
Our meetings start with a time of socializing and refreshments. Most meetings will then feature a speaker on a topic relevant to us as moms, women or wives. Each table of 8-10 women will then spend time discussing what we’ve heard and learned. Some meetings will then have a simple craft, while at others we will participate in some kind of service project or just have some fun together as moms.

How Do I Join?
Registration for the 2014 - 2015 year will open August 1st. Registration can be done online. The registration fee is $70/full year or $40/half year (e.g. - Spring or Fall session) and helps cover the cost of your membership with MOPS International, speakers, crafts and more! Also, you do not need to attend MBC Loudoun to join a MOPS group.

(Please note: If you do not already have an MBC account, you will need to create one when you Register. If you have trouble registering, please contact us at MBCLMOPS@gmail.com)

Is Childcare Provided?
No. Since we are an evening group, there is no childcare provided at this time. However, babies 6 months old or younger may be brought to the meetings.
