How to Get Connected

There are many ministry resources to help you connect in biblical community here at MBC Loudoun. Being a part of a group or a team at MBC Loudoun not only helps you to connect with God and others, it also allows you to be a part of a safe group of like-minded people who are striving to become fully devoted followers of Christ and you will learn to grow, serve and share together.

Groups

Small Groups are a valuable way to connect with others in biblical community. Generally consisting of 10-14 people, Small Groups are best for people looking for a geographically-based, age-based or gender-based group. Most small groups meet in homes in the Loudoun area.

Community and Study Groups are best for people looking for a larger environment that incorporates an in-depth Bible study and/or community building.

* Parents with Young Children Connect – is an intermittent Sunday morning community that engages in teaching Biblical principles for parenting.

* Men’s Inductive Bible Study is a seasonal community. This group connects men in biblical community through a Bible study each spring and fall semester.

* Men’s Chick-Fil-A Gathering – Meets from 6:15 am- 7:00 am at the Chick-Fil-A in Sterling. Time of fellowship, bible study and prayer specifically for men.

* Beth Moore Bible Study is a seasonal community. This group connects women in biblical community through a Beth Moore study each spring and fall semester.

* The Rock is a community for junior and senior high students. It meets weekly at the Loudoun campus on Sunday mornings.

Teams

Serving on one of our ministry teams is also a great way to connect and meet other people.

*Sunday Teams are MBC Loudoun’s "first impression" to serve people and make them feel welcome from the parking lot to their seat. We connect people into biblical and serving community so that they may become fully devoted followers of Christ. Sunday teams include the Usher Ministry, Parking Ministry, Communion Team, and Welcome Center.

*KidsQuest and Access Ministry both offer a variety of volunteer opportunities—both for those who love to interact directly with children, as well as behind-the-scenes opportunities to help enable others to invest in the future generation.

*Outreach Groups help people live out God’s charge to share the gospel. Through a variety of ministries such as Angel Tree, Operation Kindness, Impact Loudoun, business and new neighbor outreaches, outreach groups seek to impact others with the message of Christ.

Support and Therapy Groups

Support and Therapy is best for people dealing with specialized issues in their life. We can gladly recommend professional counselors and therapists in the area to help with a variety of other situations.

*Single Dads in Christ is a ministry that supports dads who are seeking to raise their children in a God-honoring way.
*Held in Heaven is a ministry that supports women who have experience he loss of a child through still birth or miscarriage.

At our Tyson’s campus, we offer support groups for people dealing with cancer, grief, sexual addictions, and other situations requiring specialized spiritual, emotional and practical support. Therapy groups are led by trained professionals and are offered through the MBC Counseling Center.

Other Places to Connect at MBC Loudoun

Additional connection opportunities are offered to help build relationships among our Loudoun community.

* Coffee Fellowship offers an opportunity each Sunday between services to enjoy coffee, lemonade, and connecting with others.

* Dinner Groups meet once each month and help build community based on life stage and location. Groups consist of six to eight people.

Formal church membership is also an important part of the connect process. If McLean Bible Church is your church home, we encourage you to make a commitment by becoming a member. Members participate in congregational meetings and vote on important issues such as the selection of elders, the acceptance of new members and the annual budget. In addition, membership is required for certain positions, such as teachers.
